White Hart and the Anchor

We thought we would go to the White Hart at Littleton on Severn as it had been a long time since we had last been there.

We arrived in the car park which was empty and wandered into the pub. That also was empty except for one table occupied by four senior citizens.

I ordered a G&T for Sue and a pint of Grolsch for me and we sat and froze. There appeared to be no heating and we got colder and colder. The senior citizens chatted happily wrapped up in their warm coats. They were obviously locals who knew about the lack of heating and had come prepared. We needed food but drank up and moved on.

We headed for Olbury on Severn and that old faithful, the Anchor. We sat by a warm log fire and had drinks and two courses.
