I retired from my IT job back in 2008. I had always considered keeping some sort of retirement diary, but had never got round to it.
Then in 2012, I found a blog written by an old school friend, who I haven't seen for about 40 years. His blog inspired me to start writing my own.
Unfortunately, there is so much that has been missed in the last 4 years. This would include, my running and participation in 10k races and two half marathons, my purchase of a Giant road bike and some long cycle rides, the purchase of a Pizza Oven, my musical activities generally concerning the ongoing struggle to improve my guitar technique to John Petrucci standard, the work on the house to renew the bathroom, en-suite and downstairs cloakroom, holidays in Ibiza and Alghero, Sardinia and much more.
My blog is just intended to be a personal diary for my own and family interest which we can look back on in years to come.
